Madagascar is an island south of the equator so that means it is cool and dry there from May-October and warm and rainy from November-April. On the eastern side of the islands, which is the windward side (the side the wind blows into) it tends to rain more, (and during the rain season harsh weather like thunderstorms and even cyclones aren't uncommon) so there is an abundance of rainforest. On the western side it is dryer and has desert like terrane.
On the image below the is the average mean temperatures throughout the year for the country Madagascar. The darkest red goes up to 85 degrees fahrenheit and the lowest green is 35 degrees fahrenheit. As you can see it doesn't get too chilly on the island and for the most part, on average, it's all about the same temperature everywhere.

The capitol, Antananarivo, is just a bit cooler on average than it is in Honolulu. Honolulu gets up to about 85 on average but the low is the same at Antananarivo. It rains way more in Madagascar though. Honolulu gets only about 4in during the month of December but Antananarivo gets about 11in during January.
Madagascar's climate is pretty much the same throughout the year. Just gets a little cooler from May-October. Then hot and wet from November-April. I suppose you could consider that two seasons then. There just isn't too much of a drastic change.
